Ben Rose

Hello. I’m Ben Rose. I’ve been playing guitar since 1997; and performing professionally since 2001. I was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. I grew up loving guitar music like Guns N’ Roses and Jimi Hendrix so I was thrilled to get a guitar for Christmas when I was sixteen. I attempted to teach myself for the first six months but I was bad. Seriously bad. I was fortunate enough to get hooked up with a great teacher that summer and away I went!

After high school, I relocated to the Spokane area and took lessons here at Learn to Burn. I also attended Spokane Falls Community College where I graduated with a A.F.A degree in Commercial Music and Jazz Studies.

Musicians Institute Graduate

In 2003 I moved to Hollywood and enrolled at the prestigious Musicians Institute, where I studied privately with world-renowned players such as Jean-Marc Belkadi, Drew Zingg, Allen Hinds, Jamie Findlay, and Scott Henderson. I graduated from MI in spring 2005, where I won the Outstanding Stylist Award. I served on the faculty at MI from 2005 until 2007 when I moved back to Spokane.

You can find me performing around the area in a variety of different settings; anything from musicals to blues festivals. I enjoy playing and teaching a number of styles: Blues, Rock, Metal, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Country. I love it all! I give lessons on both acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar,  so call and set up a time and let’s get rockin”!!!!
